Who We Are

We at Union Presbyterian Church minister within the community of St. Peter, Minnesota, a historic community of 10,000 people, an hour south of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul, and 10 miles north of Mankato, Minnesota.

We belong to a group of churches known as the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), a nationwide denomination which is divided into 16 geographical areas called synods. Union Presbyterian Church is in the Synod of Lakes and Prairies. Each synod is divided into smaller areas called presbyteries. Union Presbyterian Church is in the Presbytery of Minnesota Valleys. Our congregation is led by a session consisting of 12 elders, elected by the congregation.

From September to May, we worship each Sunday morning at 10:15 a.m. During the summer months of June, July and August, we worship at 9:30 a.m. A nursery is provided for infant and pre-school children at all worship services.

Church School for pre-school children through 7th grade meets at 9:15 a.m. each Sunday morning, September through May. In addition, opportunities for adult study are offered at various times throughout the year.
